Conceived as a space for experimentation, Futures Archaeology invites artists to push the boundaries of their chosen disciplines by exploring the physical structure of the artwork in its relationship to space. By emphasizing the effects of art—emotional, didactic, informative—eleven artists come together around a shared creative approach: the research process. We aim to create a dynamic, open, and informal space, akin to that of a shared studio, encouraging of unpredictable dialogues. In the words of Sophie Fardella, visual artist and co-owner of 3Portes Gallery, when the process is more important than the result, it means that the quest is ongoing.
